\n<\/span>As we drive into the sunset and watch the light outside dim, I can\u2019t help but think back to the events of this day over 2000 years ago.\u00a0 Reading the account of the crucifixion in the Gospels, you will come to the point of one detail from that day\u2026\u2026the darkness.\u00a0 The Scripture tells us that darkness fell upon the land.\u00a0 Can you imagine being there that day?\u00a0 The darkness that descended in the middle of the day\u2026..the chill that accompanied it\u2026\u2026the overwhelming heaviness and grief for what they had witnessed.\u00a0 DARKNESS.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>So many people in our nation are living in darkness.\u00a0 They live with no hope.\u00a0 They look around them at how our world and culture are struggling.\u00a0 They suffer from addiction, from heartache, from disease.\u00a0 They need LIGHT.\u00a0 <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>The only thing that dispels DARKNESS is LIGHT.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>We get the opportunity to meet people each week that are light bearers.\u00a0 Missionaries and church planters who have relocated and planted themselves inside a community to be a light bearer\u2026\u2026to bring hope amidst much darkness.\u00a0 <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>After the darkness fell over the earth on that fateful day long ago, I can\u2019t help but wonder how bright the morning came on the third day.\u00a0 With the light came hope and promise.\u00a0 <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>I\u2019m reminded of the lyrics of an old song\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>\u201cThen came the morning<\/span>
\n<\/span>Night turned into day<\/span>
\n<\/span>The stone was rolled away<\/span>
\n<\/span>Hope rose with the dawn<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Then came the morning<\/span>
\n<\/span>Shadows vanished before the sun<\/span>
\n<\/span>Death had lost and life had won<\/span>
\n<\/span>For morning had come\u201d<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Light.\u00a0 As we celebrate Easter this weekend, let\u2019s not forget that the entire Gospel hinges on the Resurrection and the Light.\u00a0 How can you be a light bearer in your spaces this week?\u00a0 How can you help to dispel the darkness with the hope of the LIGHT?<\/span>
