In the Waiting……
Have you ever found yourself in a season of waiting? I’m sure you have. Maybe you were waiting for a job…..maybe you were waiting for a diagnosis……maybe you were waiting for a child……whatever the case, we’ve all been called to different seasons of waiting in our lives.
Right now, we are in a bit of a season of waiting as we seek the Lord for direction for “Phase 2” of our ministry. We have a concrete plan through the end of the year. We are really excited to say that by the end of this calendar year, we will have visited and spent time with church planters in ALL 27 of the US SEND cities! Wow! Just typing that out brings on a wave of emotion and a flood of memories and faces…..all relationships that we’ve made in the last year! Yet as we near the end of this relationship building first phase, we are seeking the Lord for His direction for how we can be best used by Him in this next phase of travel and ministry. We want to be sensitive to His timing and allow that to lead and direct us. We’ve asked the Lord to go before us for over a year now……and we’ve seen Him carve out paths for us OVER and OVER AGAIN. It’s really been nothing short of amazing.
As we sit in this season of waiting and seeking, I’ve been pondering these verses…..
I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
WAIT for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and WAIT for the Lord.
Psalm 27:13-14
As people, especially Americans, we aren’t very good at waiting. Waiting is not engrained in our culture….it’s not woven into the tapestry of our lives. It’s quite the opposite actually. Yet how many times in Scripture does the Lord ask us to WAIT well?
We are committed to waiting well. Would you join us in praying as we seek the Lord for our direction and next steps? In what area of your life is the Lord asking you to wait? We would be so honored if you’d shoot us a text or email to share with us what you’re learning in your season of waiting.
Be strong and take heart……WAIT well, my friend.
Thank you for your continued prayers on our behalf and for your financial support!
With grateful hearts,
Kevin & Casey
